"A Texas man was arrested Sunday after causing a disturbance during morning worship services at First Baptist Church in West Monroe.
According to West Monroe Officer Chris Place, Thornton was attending the church service when he walked to the front of the church near the pulpit. Thornton was drinking a cup of coffee and smoking a cigarette.
When Fenn asked Thornton to put out the cigarette, Thornton flicked the cigarette toward Fenn, hitting him in the chest. Security personnel removed Thornton from the service."
