Called to be Vigilant!

As we will all be reminded of this week (at Vigilance), I Peter 5:2 exhorts Christian leaders to “Shepherd the flock” and to “exercise oversight” for those in their care. SecurityatChurch.com, along with Southern Seminary, believes that this oversight is not just spiritual but physical as well. In Biblical times the shepherd carried both a rod and a staff. The staff was to guide the sheep back onto the safe path, while the rod was to strike away enemies that were approaching. Whether you are a church pastor, a business leader, or a member of a local church you are commanded by Scripture to be vigilant in protecting those who are in your fold.

SecurityatChurch.com was created for all three categories mentioned above as a tool to use in your fight. Its goal is to bring awareness to the potential dangers that many churches and organizations may be overlooking. From sex offenders and church shootings to electrical fires and arson, SecurityatChurch.com covers a variety of topics. It strives to address many of the current issues appearing in the news from across the country and at times the world.

In addition to providing insight on current events related to church security, SecurityatChurch.com is full of useful tools like background screening resources to self-defense tools.
